Objective: Libraries and information centers of universities have an essential role in meeting informational needs of students. Therefore, their services’ quality is also effective in students’ trust. In the current research, the quality of services provided by central library of University of Tehran and its impact on students’ trust toward this library (i.e. institutional trust) has been studied.
Methodology: the method used for this research was a survey, using a structured questionnaire distributed among students of Tehran University. The sample consisted of 437 students who were selected using relative stratified sampling method.
Findings: The findings of this research show that independent variables (including quality of services, satisfaction, evaluation of Services effectiveness, and expectations of service) have a significant relationship with the dependent variable (i.e. institutional trust), while two variables of satisfaction and quality of services have the strongest relationship with dependent variable. The results of regression analysis depicts that independent variables entered in regression equation predicts %54 of dependent variable (i.e. institutional trust) variance.
Originality/ value: This research is the first research conducted on the role of quality of services provided by academic libraries in students' institutional trust. Evaluation of students’ trust toward libraries and the effective factors such as quality of service plays a very important role in the improving libraries activities.

Objective: This study aims to review the literature on integration of digital libraries and virtual learning environments (VLEs). Methodology: For the purpose of this study, various databases were searched based on a combination of important keywords such as Learning Management System, Digital Libraries, Library Resources, Virtual Learning Environment, Integration, Linking, Course Management Software, Challenges, andCourse Management System. In total, 37 sources were classified and their content was analyzed. Findings: The study indicated that the main issues of integration of DL and VLEs are technical issues, organizational issues, resources, and content. Integration of DL and VLEs provides academic community with integrated access to library resources and services. Also, the study indicated that librarians have to redefine their profession and role and take on the new roles.

Objective: this study aims to compare the M.A and Ph.D. theses of technical and engineering courses in Shiraz University with ISO 214 international standards.
Methodology: content analysis and descriptive survey methods were used in this study. The population included 1194 Persian abstracts of M.A. theses and 23 abstracts of Ph.D. theses during the period of 1999 - 2009. To collect data, we compared the abstracts with ISO 214 standard.
Findings: The findings showed that M.A and Ph.D. abstracts (x=5.94, SD=1.66) are in conformity with ISO international standards. The content of abstracts and the “aim” elements had the most conformity (89.1%) with ISO 214; however the style and representation and the “key word” elements showed a low conformity with ISO 214. In general, Ph.D. theses abstracts (x=7.04, SD= .47) are more in accordance with ISO 214 than M.A theses abstracts (x=5.92, SD= 1.67). The abstracts of aerospace engineering theses showed the most conformity in terms of content (x=4, SD= 0) and in terms of representation style (x=3.15, SD= .69)

Objective: The aim of the present study is to investigate the applicability of Technology Acceptance Model in adopting RFID technology among academic librarians in Yazd and to determine the most important factors that affect the adoption of this technology.
Methodology: The study is a descriptive survey. Librarians from twenty four central and academic libraries including State Universities, Payame Noor University, Azad University, Higher Technical and Professional Training center, and Teacher Training center, and the Education Center for Applied Science were participated in this research. Data was collected by a researcher-made questionnaire.
Findings: According to the findings, TAM is perceived to be applicable within the research community as received the final determining ratio of 0.353. Variables including "perceived usefulness", "perceived ease of use" and "attitude towards using" with the rate of 35.3% confirm the possibility of deciding to use RFID technology within this population. Moreover, the contribution of these variables on behavioral intention is presented to be as 0.44 for "perceived usefulness", 0.42 for "perceived ease of use" and 0.09 for "attitude towards using".
Originality/Value: A few researches have been conducted so far on technology adoption using causative models such as Technology Acceptance Model in libraries. Moreover, the studies on RFID technology adoption have been mostly conducted in organizations. Therefore, no research has been done on this subject before.

Objective: This paper aims to describe the process of building electronic archive of students’ profiles at universities, in order to overcome difficulties resulting from keeping physical archives. Methodology: In the present study, qualitative method and interviews were used to gather research data. Fifteen interviews were done with experts of National Archive of Iran, and stakeholders of electronic archives in Tehran University. Findings: To establish digital archives of students’ profiles, it is essential to assess different requirements of departments that receive students’ documents for their processes. Also it is necessary to produce electronic input by using scanned or digital documents. Originality/ Value: This study suggests ten basic stages to build electronic archive of students’ profiles in universities, including: feasibility studies of establishing archives, preliminary studies about the nature of archives, interviewing stakeholders, Extracting information and documents required by every section, Identifying common required documents among university sections and providing a specialized thesaurus for labeling documents.
