			      <abstract>
			        <p>Aim: Scientific recommender systems have been developed to provide users with resources that are close to their information needs. The main objective of the present study was to compare the effectiveness of the related articles recommender systems in Google Scholar and Web of Science databases from the users’ perspectives.Methods: This is an applied research with comparative approach. The samples included both human and paper ones. The human samples consisted of 120 Ph.D. candidates at Shiraz University. From among each field, thirty students (i.e., totally 120 students) participated in the study. The paper samples consisted of 2,400 related papers, 1200 of which were retrieved from Google Scholar, and 1,200 of which were retrieved from Web of Science database. The data were collected by a questionnaire and software.Results: The results showed that users considered both Google Scholar and Web of Science databases as effective in retrieving the related articles. There were significant differences between each of the four areas of humanities, basic sciences, engineering, agriculture and veterinary science in terms of the effectiveness of the related articles function. In addition, both databases represented the least number of related articles and the largest number of unrelated articles in the area of humanities. Originality: Despite the importance of related articles recommender systems, there was no evidence that measures the effectiveness of related articles recommender systems in Web of Science and Google Scholar.</p>

			      <abstract>
			        <p>Purpose: The purpose is to review various views about the composed research method, and to obtain a relatively comprehensive cognitive knowledge. Method: This is a conceptual paper in which, using related literature and concepts of chemistry, the intention of composing the two quantitative and qualitative research methods is identified so that it leads to a better understanding of the composed research method. Results: Findings show that different researchers of the composed method disagree with each other over the kind of mixing the two quantitative and qualitative research methods. Some scholars find it blended into data, methods, and findings, on the contrary, some consider a composition of theoretical and philosophical foundations and some other know a mixture by combining each of these items. Mixing the two substances together is one of the basic subjects of chemistry. In chemical science, when mixing the two substances changes the physical nature of the material, it is mixed up, but if, in addition to change their physical nature, the chemical structure of the material is changed, and a new material is produced with a new chemical structure (the new chemical nature), it is called a composition. Accordingly, a change in the type of data, methods, and findings can be regarded as a change in the physical nature in chemistry and a change in the theoretical and philosophical foundations can be considered as a change in the chemical nature in chemistry. using the dialectical approach as a composed approach in the information retrieval studies is suggested.</p>

			      <abstract>
			        <p>Purpose: This study intends to explore the personal knowledge management (PKM) skills and capabilities of staff of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz (PKM) based on Avery et al model (2001) in order to provide strategies for improving individual and organizational knowledge management performance in this university. Method: The present study is descriptive-analytical survey and qualitative and semi-structured interview methods have been used through interpretational data analysis. The research instrument was predesigned questionnaire based on Avery et al model. The statistical population includes 404 staffs of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz who are not faculty member and having Bachelor and Master of Arts and PhD degrees working in 7 different areas at university in 2017-2018. Based on Krejcie- Morgan Table, the sample size was determined as 196 subjects who were selected through random stratified sampling method in respect to each working area and 155 out of 196 questionnaires were returned back. Findings: Quantitative data analysis showed that mean PKM is 3.64 which is evaluated as desired concerning Likert scale scoring; however, the results of interview indicated that staffs are confused in data analysis, data and knowledge sharing and dissemination and are not well able to express such concepts.</p>

			      <abstract>
			        <p>Purpose – In this study, the psychological empowerment of the librarians who work in the libraries of the universities of Tehran city and it’s relation with efficacy resources was examined. Design/methodology/approach – This research is an applied study with a descriptive survey. In this research 109 librarians of central libraries in Tehran universities were examined with standard questionnaires of psychological empowerment and the tools for analysis of data were SPSS and Excel.Findings – The results showed that the status of psychological empowerment of the librarians was good with an average of 5.65. Also in other aspects of that, in competence factor it was desirable with an average of 6.09. in meaning factor it was desirable with the average of 6.01. in impact factor it was good with the average of 5.48 and in trust factor it was good with the average of 5.04. Also the Pearson test showed that there was a significant relation between efficacy resources and psychological empowermentOriginality/value – This paper is one of the first studies to seek a general review on appointment of managers in academic libraries. Furthermore, the provided conceptual model is another value of this paper.Practical implications – Using the provided conceptual model, the policy of appointment of library managers can be formed in academic libraries.</p>

			      <abstract>
			        <p>Purpose: The aim of the present research is to study the effects of the digitalization of the system on the organizational effectiveness of academic libraries based on Parsons&#039; theoretical model of the four functions of social systems. Methodology: The research population consisted of 12 academic libraries in Tehran, which were studied in three levels of high, average and low based on the degree of digitalization. This analytical-practical research employs the survey research method and uses a researcher-created checklist and a standard questionnaire to collect data. Excel, SPSS16, and Smart PLS software were used to describe and analyze data. Findings:The results of the study support its general conceptual framework and its assumptions. The findings show that in general, there is a significant positive correlation between the digitalization of academic libraries and factors determining organizational effectiveness. Digitalization of the system has the highest impact on innovation, organizational health or morale, organizational commitment and the job satisfaction of librarians in order of priority. In terms of the level of digitalization, 50% of academic libraries were at&quot; level average&quot;, 33% were at &quot;level high&quot; and 17% were at &quot;level low. The highest digitalization score earned by academic libraries was 65.21% and the lowest score was 22.22%. F-test results show that statistically, there is a significant difference between «level average» and «level low» libraries in terms of the librarians&#039; innovation and organizational commitment. The average organizational commitment and innovation is higher in &quot;level low&quot; libraries than &quot;level average&quot; libraries.</p>
