		<Abstract>Objective: This research has been carried out with the aim of studying the Central Library of Islamic Azad Universities with Dublin core standard elements and also has paid to clarify web designers’ approach in using of modern techniques in designing and organizing these websites.
Methodology: A total of 10 website of academic library were evaluated by using two Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers, the HTML pages of these websites were seen through the Source of View menu, and metadata elements of each websites were extracted and entered in the check list.
Findings: Overall findings indicated that the websites of library did not use any Dublin core metadata elements. All used general metadata elements however little in ordinal: Central Library of Ilam University with 50.5% is ranked first and Khomain University with 33.5% was in second rank followed by Central Libraries of Zanjan and Ghazvin Universities with 28.5 %. Web designers’ approach were determined as follows: the content of source ranked first, attention to ownership of source information ranked second while physical appearance came in third.</Abstract>
