Reading is an important factor in any educational system and research development. Therefore, any effort to promote the reading skills and comprehension is useful for educational procedures. The present study is to survey the Yazd University students in terms of their skill levels in brief redding, phrase readingm, critical reading, etc, compared, to the sex, field of study, and grades of students. The population of the study consists all the students of the Humanities Complex affiliated to Yazad University. The findings , in general, indicate that the level of the students reading skills is very low.
