Abstract

The Creation of full-text retrieval databases, especially electronic journals, has been of great advantage for scientific communities. However, there are different factors, such as limited bandwidth and crowded networks, which affect the optimum usage of the systems. Verifying the relationship between requests and successful downloads, the present study tries to investigate the accessibility of the Science Direct’s (Elsevier) electronic papers at Tehran University and to highlight the impact of undesired factors on optimum usage.
