This article deals with the factors causing better use of university libraries. The usefulness of the university libraries are evaluated, to a great
extent, by their users satisfaction rate. This criterion can lead to the modification of the current approaches of, and the employment of new
approaches in infonnation science" The sUIVey consists of 21 sources on user satisfacion in university libraries, and the factors affecting the
satisfaction rate are arranged according to their frequency in these sources. The findings indicate that speed in access to infonnation by 39%,
instruction on how to use the library by 33.4%, more attention to refemece department by 28.6%, up dating of resources by 23.6%, the existence of
special librarian by 19.4%, etc. are among the factors that have a great impact on user satisfaction rate. Some suggestions based on the findings
of the survery have been given at the end .
