The existance of the libraries in: the Islamic society indicates the growth
and development of Islamic civilization, denoting its outcome and reflection. Wuh the advancement of the Islamic civilization the number of
libraries increased and their objectives varied. These libraries, cover all types of disciplines, consisted of public libraries of the mosques, the central
mosques, libraries of the schools and the hospitals, the state libraries established by the caliphs, the commanders or rulers, and the private libraries owned by religious scholr..rrs, the jurists and others. This article
