This Paper attempts to provide a sociological analysis of the interrelation between library as a social organization and society. From a
sociological perspective, library plays an important role in terms of communication and information. Furthermorf"j library is influenced by
social envirenment and in turn affects the social structure. Thus, a dynamic society will have a ,significant influence in establishing a dynamic, officient, and useful library. In general, this paper seeks to describe, the library role in the fullfilment of social needs and the
storage and dissemination of knowledge and information.
