Accurate and precise hi\,toriography of libraries can show the powers and the lacks and deficiency of libraries in a country. The history of libraries help to improve the libraries systems and se/Vices. There is a lack
of literature in the area of libraries history in Iran, but some activities has
been done based on the same few documents. This paper tlies to lnention some problems in the way of compiling histories of libraries in Iran, and
make the historiographers careful to the point.
