Libraries' Organizational Changes by New Technologies

Abstract

As reputed by Ranganatan, Library is an alive and active and active organism, so it may be changed by environmental changes. Today, the level of change in main question instead of what is going to be changed. Changed management is investigating some of the changes that are occurring in the library with information technology. For example: collections accessing, catalogues changing, library using, librarians skills changing management styles and organizational structure changing. While increased abilities and reduced limits are the main purpose of technology, library managers expect that technology develop providing, coordinate now and future needs, and costs reduction. In addition, managers know that human resources are the most valued asset for library who can achieve the goals and all of the changes in library structure are shaping by them. While solving the individual and organizational resistances is the most serious problem for managers, this article is trying to list the changes are effected from technology and recognize and analyze impacts of these changes on library staff, and explains possible resistances and manager duties in this case.
