Abstract

Objective: The present study aims to achieve awareness about the current status of ICT implementations as a tool for information management within Astan Quds Razavi Libraries Authorities
Methodology: A descriptive survey methods was employed. Questionnaire, interview and observation served as primary data collection tools. 41 managers and deputy managers of AQRLA made up the sample
Findings: AQRLA employs ICT. ICT implementation has contributed to library functions. ICT training was not sufficient. ICT was primarily used for library automation, better end-user service, keeping users updated and to boost service quality. There are some shortfalls and obstacles in implementation of ICT which include inadequate ICT knowledge among users, insufficient budget allocation, lack of acceptable software packages and inappropriate ICT structure
