Purpose: the aim of this research is to consider the most important criteria of Farsi academic e-book from standpoint of academic librarians.
Methodology: A researcher-constructed questionnaire was used for the survey. It was administered to academic librarians currently employed by the state universities in Tehran.
Findings: From the standpoint of librarians, the most important criteria are distribution factor. Of the 125 indicators covered in evaluation criteria, 30 were the most important indicators. Some of the main indicators were included; table of contents, whole document save, selecting eBooks in various format, 24/7 access, etc..
