Abstract

Objective: This study aims assessment interdisciplinary relations in nanotechnology, biotechnology, cognitive and information articles using co-citation technique.
Methodology: This study in object aspect, is applied, in method aspect is descriptive and use co-citation technique. Bibliographic data of Iranian English articles published between 2001 and 2015, including 68,864 records in nano, bio, info and cognitive sciences fields indexed Scopus. A number of measures were used for the relationship between scientific fields, including: inclusion index, homogeneous index, maximum and minimum spanning tree, impacted and effected fields.
Findings: The highest scores in ‌ inclusion index belong to information technology in "info - bio" compound and biotechnology lowest rating in "cog - bio" compound. The highest numbers of author cited belong to the combined areas of "Nano - Info - bio" and the least number belong to "cog - nano - info" compound. Information technology affected by other areas and nanotechnology impact on other areas.
Results: Bio-nanotechnology fields have the potential greatly to the benefit of the co-authors to cite their articles. Cited authors patterns in the information technology articles is most similar to the bio-technology articles. Nanotechnology, biotechnology and cognitive articles have many cited authors that can use in information technology articles for citing. Nanotechnology articles have many cited authors that the other fields can use them for citing. In compound tertiary "nano - info - bio" be seen more coordination and interdisciplinary according to the cited authors and there is greater potential to utilize the authors to citing in their papers.
