The purpose of the Present study is to explore the position of Iranian scientific production in the world veterinary products. The Iranian works cited in VET-CD from the beginning to the end of 1998 were selected and analysed. The findings indicate that the rank of Iranian production in the field is less then 1%, of which the lowest belongs to the years 1979 through the end of Iran-Iraq war. More than 90% of the indexed documents are journal papers and less than half of them published in Iran
