Aiming to explore the process of electronic services in the academic libraries of Iran, 150 web sites located in the Iranian University libraries were visited, 45% of which presetting the digital reference services, connecting to the larger institutions. In addition, direct connections through home pages, the ways users asking their questions, the FAQ, policies, technical barriers, and the role of institutional controls were also the subjects of study.
