The great turkish bibliographer known as Hadj khalifah or chalapi scriber is a famous Bibliographer of Hejeri Elerenth century (Christian seventeenth century). Most of his works are on history and geography.
But his reputation among bibliographers is because of compiling the book Kashf al zonoon an Asamial kotob al fonoon About fifteen thousand books and treatise are introduced in this work and Hadj Khalifah has also mentioned the name of ten thousand writers and commentators. He has written his book in Arabic, First because most of the books and their writer's name were in Arabic, and second because the Arabic Language was
known as the scientific Language of the era. one of his other works is solm al vosul which is yet as manuscript. Both of these two bibliographies are compiled in alfabetic order and the beginning sentence of each book is mentioned. Therefore he is regarded as an imitiator.
