The journal of Academic Librarianship and Information Research (also known as the Journal of Academic Librarianship and Information Research) is a peer-reviewed open-access quarterly journal published by the University of Tehran Press and the Central Library and Documentation Center. The journal of Academic Librarianship and Information Research (ALIR), as a cross-disciplinary and refereed journal, focuses on the research process in library and information science as well as research findings and, where applicable, their practical applications and significance. The target audience of the journal includes academic librarians, academic information scientists, specialists, managers, and educators. The journal aims to publish research papers on the most recent issues and developments in the field. All papers are subject to a double-blind reviewing process.

  • The Policy of Screening for Plagiarism: All manuscripts submitted to the journal of Academic Librarianship and Information Research are screened for potential instances of plagiarism and textual similarity using designated detection software—including iThenticate, SamimNoor, and the IranDoc Similarity Detection System (Hamanjo)—prior to their admission into the peer-review process.
  • Author Identifier: The registration and display of a free ORCID identifier, as well as the use of an academic or institutional email address, are mandatory for all contributing authors. Accordingly, authors are required to obtain their ORCID iD and an academic/institutional email address prior to submitting their manuscript to the journal.
  • Required files to be uploaded: The following files must be submitted through the manuscript submission system: 1. The Main Manuscript File (without the author details and prepared based on the provided template, and 2. Title page in the mentioned format (must include the title of the article and the name and surname of all authors).
