Purpose: This research aims to evaluate the university libraries’ collections of Arak and to compare them with Iran’s university libraries standards.
Method: A comparative survey method was used using two questionnaires as data collection instruments. The population under investigation comprised university libraries and information centers in the city of Arak included 6 universities and institutions.
Findings: the total number of collections, including printed materials and microforms and audio-visual materials are lower than standards. On the other hand, only the central libraries accessed databases and connected to the internet.
