The guidance of a society and highlighting of its problems is not entirely the responsibility of the electronic media. In view of the limitations faced by radio and television organizations, the government and its relevant bodies should publish low-priced, target-oriented books in easy language in huge numbers and make them available to the common man through local clubs. The
present article evaluates the significance of such book clubs in enlightening the public opinion on different issues.
