عنوان مقاله [English]
Calligraphy occupies a special place of distinction among Islamic arts. It is not only an artistic pursuit, but also an act of piety, the reason being that the calligraphers are generally engaged in the reproduction of parts of the Ouran, the Traditions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the quotable quotes of the religious
elite and the best of what the human brain has to offer. Most of their time is spent in an atmosphere breathing with spiritualism and beauty. The present article deals with the life and activities of
one of the leading Iranian calligraphers and illuminists who devoted all his life to the pursuit of this profession without any extraordinary expectation.
