n this article, Some selected books published during the First Development Plan in Iran (1993-1998) from writing and translation aspect, male and female producers and subiect index according to the samples intruduced in Nashr-e Danesh (Knowledge Publication) Magazine have been reviewed. The result of this study shows that more than a half of the books are in production and a high percent of the writers and translators are male. From 10 Subject categories, the highest percentage belongs to literature and the lowest to language. Referece books which have been reviewed apart from the 10 Main categries totally cover 7/2 Percent of the whole publication.
